BALLOONING CLUB "ALTIUS"

The foundation of a Ballooning Club ALTIUS is a step towards an idea what was born in … The North Pole.

The founders of ALTIUS – a pilot of hot air balloons Gunars Dukste, businessmen Viesturs Koziols and Vilnis Dambins - were in the North Pole in 1999 and made a flight over it.

The great idea about Latvian ballooning in Seven Continents of the World was the result of this expedition.

Our balloon fleet consists from 6 hot-air balloons what is the other step towards above mentioned. ALTIUS ballooning team with the balloon RIGA had taken part in - European & World Hot Air Balloon Championships in Luxembourg (2000), in Spain (2001), in France (2002); participated in Ballooning Week in Switzerland in January (2001, 2002, 2003).

Step by step members of ALTIUS fulfill ballooning dream, seen over and over again. Now it is their life - to feel a magical world, beyond the real and to share it with the others.
